LONDON (Reuters) – British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has promised to defeat compatriot Anthony Joshua in a video printed on Twitter on Sunday, confirming his unification battle for his world title in Saudi Arabia on 14 August.
Fury and Joshua are scheduled to fulfill for a number of months, with discussions happening in non-public and social media between the 2 camps, promoters and potential places.
“There is some big news for all of you guys, I have just switched off the phone of Prince Khalid of Saudi Arabia, he told me that this fight is 100%, 14 August 2021, in summer time. All eyes of the world Saudi Arabia’s empire will be on it, “Tyson, 32, mentioned within the video.
“I am unable to wait, I repeat, I am unable to wait, to defeat Anthony Joshua on the most important stage ever. It’s going to be the most important sporting occasion ever on planet Earth. Don’t miss it Do – everybody’s eyes are on us, ”she added.
2012 Olympic super-heavyweight gold medalist Joshua holds the IBF, WBO, WBA and IBO titles whereas Fury is the WBC belt holder.
