Leeds United have been linked with the transfer of Sampdoria winger Mikel Damsgaard after a string of impressive performances at Euro 2020.
What’s the story?
According to Italian website Calciomercato (and as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post), the Whites have joined several other Premier League teams in the race to secure the 21-year-old’s signature.
The likes of Leicester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also credited with an interest in Damsgaard, who is said to be priced at £34m.
Should Leeds sign Damsgaard?
Yes sure!

No way!

Next Ravenha
TV2 football expert Martin Mikkelsen called him a “magician” during a commentary in January of this year, and the youngster has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Since moving from his homeland 12 months ago, Damsgaard has established himself as one of the most promising young talents in European football.
After scoring two goals and making four assists in 35 Serie A matches last season, the Denmark international played a pivotal role in his country’s march to the semi-finals of the European Championship.
Kasper Hjolmand’s men’s two goals and one assist in five matches seem to have caught the attention of several of the continent’s top clubs, and Marcelo Bielsa appears to be the latest Damsgaard fan.

The Leeds coach has had impressive results at Elland Road over the past few seasons with flying wings taking over the wings in West Yorkshire.
Brazilian man Ravenha has stormed the Premier League in 2020/21, excelling in the Bielsa era, and Damsgaard may be the next bird to benefit from the tutelage of opaque tactics.
His ninth place finish on his return to the first division was a remarkable achievement for Leeds, but the addition of Scandinavian talent could push them further up the table.
The proposed arrival of Damsgaard would see him form alongside the likes of Ravenha and Patrick Bamford in Elland Road’s attacking line, an attack that would strike fear into any Premier League defense.
And in other news … Goodbye Costa: Bielsa could sign Harry Kewell’s new Leeds in a “wonderful” gem worth 20 thousand pounds
